Garnets include an extensive group of nesosilicates which share a chemical formula. Miscibilities can be detected between the different species. This mineral is part of the cubic system and has a hardness of 7-7.5 on the Mohs scale.
The demantoide garnet is one the yelloish green variety of andradite species, the name came from the similar shine to the diamond. This garnet variety has an high light dispersion, which can be ammired after the faceting, his shine is totally different from any other green gemstones.
